The
Montjuic Mountain was the focal point for the Olympic Games in 1992.
The area, called The Olympic Ring, showcases the massive 77,000-seat
Olympic stadium, now home to Espanyol F.C, the local arch-rivals
to Barcelona. There is a small exhibition within the stadium which
has some fun memorabilia and photos from the Olympic Games. The
Palau Sant Jordi was also constructed for the Olympics. The huge,
domed-roof building, designed by the Japanese architect, Arata Isozaki,
currently hosts some of the best concerts in town.
